Phoenix firefighters were sent to Papago Park on Thursday morning to rescue a woman who said she had been trapped for the past day in a crevice 100 feet off the ground, a Phoenix Fire Department spokesman said.

The woman reportedly became trapped yesterday and a passerby head her yelling on Thursday morning, according to the Fire Department. She was uninjured when she was reached by the rescue team, who rappelled down from the top of the face to make contact with her.

The woman told someone she was going for a hike Wednesday morning, and reportedly fell into the crevice and could not get out, said the Fire Department spokesman.
