Unable to wait for additional equipment, they improvised with the advanced and rarely-seen ladder splicing technique, typically reserved for training scenarios.

This 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧-𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗗𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗖𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗘 𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗚 highlights the ingenuity and courage of the crew. Combining a 24-foot and a 14-foot ladder, one firefighter climbed the makeshift structure, 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗟𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗧𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 as he brought the woman to safety—risking everything if it failed.
