DC Fire multiple saves

WASHINGTON — Authorities say six people were injured in an early-morning fire at a southeast Washington apartment building.

Fire officials say the blaze was reported early Thursday in the 2800 block of Denver Street southeast.  Officials say some residents were trapped and were hanging out of second-floor windows when firefighters arrived.

Officials say six people were taken to the hospital for treatment, including three children, but information about their conditions was not available.
