Buffalo, NY- Two men were rescued from a vacant house fire and taken to hospital early Sunday morning.

Fire Officials were called to the home on Wasmoth Street at around 4am.

“When crews arrived on the scene, they began fighting the fire as if it were vacant. It turns out two people were living inside..” They said they’re always careful with vacant house fires because you never know who may be inside. “They go in there to keep warm so it presents a problem because we try to be real easy on the vacants on aggressiveness we can’t push in when a building is in deplorable shape,” said Division Chief Don McFeely.
