MANITOWOC – A 60-year-old Manitowoc County man was rescued at the Manitowoc Marina on Tuesday after capsizing in a kayak, according to Battalion Chief Ken Cayemberg of the Manitowoc Fire Department

Karl Stueck was fishing from a kayak when he reached behind him to retrieve an item, and the boat tipped and capsized, Cayemberg said in a news release. He was able to free himself from the kayak and hung onto it until firefighters arrived on scene at 5:03 p.m.

Stueck was not wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident, Cayemberg said….
