Firefighters rescued a pregnant woman yesterday from a fire in one of the oldest buildings in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
According to the local CBS affiliate (http://bit.ly/1zuI2WG), multiple fire crews responded to the fire, which occurred in an apartment. Part of the multi-unit building was more than 200 years old, the wood of which Nicholasville Fire Department Battalion Chief David Johns said burns very quickly.
Firefighters say only one person, a pregnant woman, was inside the building at the time and was rescued from the structure’s first floor. According to the report, she was conscious when she was put into an ambulance.
