BROOKLINE (CBS) — An 85-year-old woman was rescued after a fire broke out in her apartment building on Davis Avenue.

According to officials, the fire began early afternoon Thursday in the basement of the building. The woman lived on the first floor. Firefighters were able to spot the woman in her smoky apartment using a thermal imager.

She was taken to the hospital. Officials said she is expected to make a full recovery.
