Helicopter Rescue in LAco Calif. (Dramatic Footage)

Rescue Details:
On Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 1404 hours, the Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Palos Verdes Verdes Estates Police Department received a 911 call reporting that a person had fallen from a cliff to the rocky beach below.

Los Angeles County Fire initiated a Coast Rescue response including Firefighters, Paramedics, Urban Search and Rescue personnel, a Paramedic rescue helicopter, and a Lifeguard rescue boat.

Lifeguards from Baywatch Redondo spotted a group of people waving from the beach at Bluff Cove, a remote and rocky portion of the Palos Verdes coastline.

The LACoFD Copter 14 inserted a Firefighter/Paramedic to the location where an approximately 50 year old male was found with critical injuries. A Lifeguard swam from the Rescue Boat to the shore to assist in the treatment of the patient.

The helicopter hoisted the patient from the remote beach and he was flown immediately to a local hospital.
