COLUMBUS, Ohio – A woman is hospitalized and a dog is pulled to safety after a fire at a home in southeast Columbus.

At about 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, a fire was reported in the 2900 block of Fleet Road.

Firefighters said a woman and a dog were pulled from the home during the fire.

The woman was taken to Ohio State Wexner Medical Center with burns to her arm, and for smoke inhalation.

The dog was taken to a local veterinary office for smoke inhalation and is expected to be fine.

There is no word at this time as to what caused the fire.
