Crews are at the scene of a fire at an apartment complex off St. Andrews Road in Irmo.
Smoke from the fire could be seen from Interstate 26. It was reported at about 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrews Apartments, in the 600 block of St. Andrews Road. The apartment building is on Kilbrannon Drive.
Fire officials got the call about a fire with possible entrapment around mid-morning. When they arrived, firefighters said there were three people inside the homeand two of those people were transported to a local hospital.
The conditions of the three people in this case remain unknown.
Only two units were damaged by the flames, but 33 homes are currently without power due to the fire.
Lexington Crime Scene investigators and the county coroner have been called to the scene. The American Red Cross is also on hand to assess the situation and see what services they will need to provide.
WIS has a news team at the scene and is working to get more details on the fire.

He has annual contracts with numerous departments to provide standardized monthly training for these departments that respond daily together under an automatic aid agreement. Curt teaches nationally to include; FDIC, Firehouse Expo, Firehouse World, Orlando Fire Conference, Atlanta Fire Conference, Bowling Green State University, and owns/operates the annual HROC, COBC, WOTF, CFT ODP on Pensacola Beach. He is a Florida Certified Fire Officer, Instructor, Inspector, Arson, and FLUSAR.
