Firefighters rescued a woman who fell into the Chicago River Thursday morning in the Loop.

 

The woman, in her 30s, was pulled from the river near the Adams Street bridge by firefighters about 11:45 a.m., according to police and Fire Media Affairs.

 

She was taken in fair-to-serious condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to Fire Media.

 

 

Police said the woman may have been trying to commit suicide.
